This is a great breakthrough for the cyberworld as a group of European physicist which locate in London had come out a brand new computer which could build itself- a new development that can lead to self-assembling computers.

This team of physicist has create an integrated circuit that can build itself. They took a organic molecule known as quinquethiophene and connect it with a long carbon chain with a silicon group at the end. Then they soaked the circuit board with electrodes.

A researcher at Philips Research Laboratores locate in Eindhoven,Holland (Dago de Leeuw name of the researcher) said that the molecules which attached to an insulating layer between the eletrodes will form a bridges between them.

This is the picture of quinquethiophene that I found in the internet

This is my opinion, it can’t be denied that this breakthrough does bring many advantages to the society however, a self-assemble computer may lead to devastation. This is because, if a computer can build itself and assemble itself, everyone in this world would not know What computer will do in the future; What the computer planning to do; What the computer thinking and more. Somehow, I think that someone will overcome this problem if this technology will be greatly used in the future.
