Apple iPhone 3G - picture from Apple.comI think this news is quite old. But it’s worth to say it again, “TWICE AS FAST, HALF THE PRICE”!!
According to Apple, the new second generation iPhone 3G will be selling off with the amazing price of only US$199 and will be launched on 11th of July. But, you have to sign a contract with AT&T which stated that you must stick with them for 2 years so that you can purchase the iPhone 3G by just spending US$199. The above information about AT&T is not confirmed yet. Or perhaps you can purchase it with some other conditions.

For Asia’s countries, it will be launched at Hong Kong and Japan only. However, other countries would still trying to use iPhone 3G by unlocking it so that they can insert their Sim cards into it. Just like the previous generation of iPhone, the hackers even invented software for people to download to unlock their iPhone with no cost.

Apple iPhone 3G - picture from Apple.comMy opinions about the invention of iPhone 3G:
It’s good to have 3G and GPRS but there are not many countries that using 3G that often, and most importantly it’s not cheap to have 3G services. For me, a Malaysian, I don’t think I will spend that much for just 3G services, it is not affordable for us; perhaps it’s possible and common to use 3G in European countries.
Secondly and unfortunately, the most demanding feature, Bluetooth File Transferring is still not available in iPhone. Without this feature, we would have problems when we want to share our music or photos with our friends who are using other types of phones.

iphone 3G overview - picture from Apple.comWhat I’m looking forward to in iPhone:
1. Bluetooth File Transfer feature should be available.
2. A better camera instead of just 2 mega pixels.
3. And finally my biggest hope is the launching of iPhone at Malaysia as soon as possible!
