At last, Windows Vista SP1 is out and ready for download!
There are few methods you can have it installed on your computer. The first method, and possibly the most common one, is to point your Vista system to Windows Update by clicking it in the Start Menu, or you can find it in Internet Explorer under the Tools menu. BUT, not everyone of you could done this with Automatic Windows Update since Microsoft said it would not be automatically pushed until mid-April, but Microsoft is suggesting now that in some cases that might not be the case. If you don’t see SP1 in the download menu on Windows Update, check the System control panel: You may already have it installed.
By the way, there is a issue being concerned currently where some people might be affected by SP1’s previously-announced incompatibility (Scroll down to “Cause 5″ for full description) with a handful of device drivers. Microsoft is working hard to solve these issues.
If you don’t see SP1 in Windows Update and you know you don’t have a driver conflict, you can download the installer directly from microsoft website. Install with caution. Read the readme file if it exists before installation.
