satelliteOMG! According to reports, a US spy satellite which has lost power and propulsion is weeks or even months away from hitting Earth. The officials said that the satellite which no longer can be controlled could contain hazardous materials. And it is still “unknown” for which location on the planet it might come down.

Gordon Johndroe, a spokesman for the Nation Security Council commented, “Numerous satellites over the years have come out of orbit and fallen harmlessly. We are looking at potential options to mitigate any possible damage this satellite may cause.”

Government agencies are still considering about how to handle it and would not comment on whether it is possible for the satellite to be perhaps shot down by a missile.

My views:
If they shoot down the stray equipment, the radioactive metal pieces will smash onto many locations on our planet’s surface. Will they consider this dangerous before making decision?
