From a survey of which technology would be hardest to give up studied by Pew Internet & American Life Project, the results tell us that the internet scored the highest portion of responses, at 45 percent while those who picked TV hits 43 percent. The internet’s increased importance appears unstoppable with more and more video and movie content becoming available online.
Pew also said that 75 percent of Americans are online now, with fully half the country wired for broadband. And the faster your connection, the more important the internet becomes to you, and the more time you spend online the more integral to your life it tends to become.
Is broadband a gateway drug to Internet addiction?

Hey,
Your article made me chuckle. I know exactly how you feel. When I was moving house, I didn’t have internet connection for a whole two days! I was having serious withdrawal symptoms My loved ones even saw the effect it was having!
So advice to anyone like me…make sure you organise yourself with internet connection when moving house or you may feel the withdrawal symptoms like me!
